Why Fascism won't save America

As someone fed up with the current corrupt political system of the United States, I can certainly see why people are looking to alternatives. Some want socialism, others fascism, some just want a return to the Constitution. I want to address the fascists who believe that we simply need a Hitler or a Mussolini to fix this American Empire. It’s something I at one point used to believe, especially around 2016 when Trump first ran for president and won. There are so many reasons why fascism can’t and won’t be fixing this “country,” and I’ll try to address the main ones to prevent our people from chasing this fantasy.

One of the biggest issues blocking fascism is the ingrained two-party system. Unlike Germany and Italy, we aren’t a multiparty system. This means that fascism has a massive hurdle of getting into power that the Fascists in Europe never had. Any attempt to launch fascism will automatically face a polarized electorate who have loyalties to either the Marxist democrats or Neo-Con Republicans. Both parties would also attempt to severely attack and steal the planks of the proposed American fascists. Both parties would, of course, abandon said planks once in office and return to their status quo. Running a third party in itself sounds great and would be good, but it takes millions of dollars at least to see even marginal success. It’s a major reason why even older parties like the libertarians remain at 1-2-% of the national vote with few elected representatives to show for it. Money ultimately is one of the major deciders of who wins elections in the corrupt American system.

The other issue affecting the American fascist plan is the massive geographical size of the United States. The Kingdom of Italy (which fascists took over in 1922) was a much smaller country compared to the United States. The Kingdom of Italy (without its colonies) was about 119,770 square miles. While not a small country, you could fit the whole of Italy inside just the states of Georgia and Florida (combined, they are 125,183 square miles). Weimar Germany was dwarfed compared to the United States. It was around 181,000 square miles before it expanded under Hitler's chancellorship. You could have fit the entire Weimar Republic inside the states of Georgia and Alabama who’d come in at a combined 111,845 square miles. While, of course, population density was different, this doesn’t reduce the fact that Mussolini or Hitler campaigning in their homelands would be far less costly than the American fascist. The vastness of the American empire means it’s much harder to build a political machine even with the internet and social media (which are both censored). The geographic size of the USA means campaigning in real life takes far more money, organization, and manpower than it did in the two European Democracies.

Then there’s also the very different nature of the “American people”. For starters, Americans aren’t a real nation like the Italians, Spanish, and Germans. There are, of course, Heritage Americans who are the descendants of the original Anglo-Scot founding fathers, but this is largely concentrated in the South. In reality, the United States is several ethno-nations under one Empire. While Germany and Italy had their minorities, the amount was far smaller than in the USA. When searching for demographics of the Weimar Republic Germany, you instantly see its biggest demographic divide is listed as religious denomination rather than race (a divide the USA has on top of race). While there were ethnic minorities such as Jews and Poles, these numbers were small compared to. The White non-Hispanic population of the USA was about 57% in 2020 and is lower now. If this is the only unifier of Fascism, it’s still not enough. When you listen to Mussolini and Hitler's speeches, you hear about the German and Italian peoples, not “White people”. That is because they were always their own nation first and held substantial indifference or hate for other nations in Europe. In the USA, you actually have several European nations such as Dixie, Yankeedom, Arcadia, Left-coasters and Appalachia. You have very big subgroups like the Mormons in Utah and numerous Indian tribes like the Navajo reservation. Indeed, the USA’s demographic condition proves a massive issue with more organic nationalism than 1930s Axis countries.

I’d argue that the moment for fascism to “save America” probably passed with Trump. His 2016 campaign, of course, wasn’t fascist, but it was populist and nationalist. In many ways, he originally offered an America First Nationalism beyond the basic Israel-first neo-conservativism of the Bush era. However, going forward ten years later, we see Trump has completely merged and become part of the Neo-conservative Israel-first GOP establishment. The late Lindsey Graham, Marco Rubio, and Ted Cruz have been some of his biggest supporters. He’s destroyed any goodwill that the GOP gained with his original run 10 years ago. Instead of a populist-nationalist takeover of the Republican Party, we ended up with a cult of personality with zero substance. Trump's main concern today is bombing Iran, the DC reflecting pool, and building his ballroom. Instead of pushing the party into a new era, he has purged actual American First voices like Carlson, Massie, and Greene. Effectively, all avenues for a “Fascist” takeover of the party have ended. The GOP is now associated with Epstein, war, and stroking Trump's massive ego. The idea that the old guard of the party will just die off due to old age is only partially true. While many older Zionist Boomers in power are passing, many still have 5-10 years left, if not more. As we can see with Mitch McConnell, they will hold onto power until death. Even Trump has two more years in office that he will use to effectively destroy the Republican Party’s image with Independents and young people. The idea of fascist “Groypers” seizing the party is laughable, as by the time the Boomers pass, there will be a corpse of a party.

Fascism's main issue in America is that the United States isn’t a nation-state Democracy like the Kingdom of Italy and the Weimar Republic, but a bloated, dying multi-racial criminal oligarchy. The USA has more in common with late Austrian Hungary, Qing China, or Romanov Russia, but with an even more debased culture. The USA is once again in another war it cannot win but is too stubborn and fanatical to pull out of. Fascism really could only take form this late in the game though the military, similar to Franco’s Spain (1939-1975). However, even that isn’t realistic given the Americans military’s subservient nature to political authority. Indeed, the brass of the American military has always been far more whipped and subordinate to the political class. Instead of being a safeguard of liberty, they’ve become hungry dogs looking for more funding and maintaining the status quo. It doesn’t help that Obama removed many right-wing-leaning generals under his administration over a decade ago. Many of the top brass are just as corrupt and greedy as your average politician. General Mark Milley, the arch anti-Confederate, is a prime example of this. So while the military is one of the few factions that’s likely to be able to swiftly end this era of crime oligarchs of America, they have no reason to do so. They are fully in bed with these people. This is part of why the military remains so well funded despite the USAs citizen poor economic conditions.

I do not oppose fascism across the board. Mussolini's Italy accomplished many things, especially in its early years, but I see it as a poor fit for the USA. In many ways it feeds into the American Empire's legitimacy. American Fascists I see online tend to be waving their American flags and cheering for more centralization. This, of course, helps build support for the current regime. In short, the current regime is likely to steal many of the fascist points on military and state worship while abandoning the concepts of rebuilding the modern man. Fascism doesn’t have a natural way to take over in the modern USA. I’d strongly argue the USA is far better off being divided into multiple countries along racial, political, and cultural lines than trying some ill-fated last-ditch effort to “Save Columbia.” For both Southerners and other Heritage Americans, any efforts to salvage the USA will always be redirected into saving only its ruling oligarchy and state mechanisms. Effectively, these ultra-unionists are adding bricks and glue to our prison rather than tearing the whole thing down. As a Southern Nationalist, I want Dixie free, not a rebranded USA. In many ways, this fascist vision of one united America is one of the biggest obstacles to Southern Nationalism. It tries to sell the nostalgia of “Old America” and tell our people that we should “save” something that shouldn’t be saved. The USA has murdered over 65 million babies via abortion since 1973, for just one example of its many crimes. Christian Fascists should ask themselves if that’s the sort of country that can be redeemed or should be destroyed.
