Oh Donald, Where Are You?

A while back I wrote that I would really believe in Donald Trump when I saw the Arlington reconciliation monument go back up. Almost hard to believe, it looks like it’s happening.

It seems also that immigration is being seriously addressed, and I am happy about that too! Although I fear it is far too late to repair the damage caused by Third World alteration of the American population.

Make no mistake, Americans should be eternally grateful for Trump’s appearance on the scene. Remember, he was the ONLY national figure to bring serious issues into discussion. The entire Republican Party, executive and legislative, a club of smug, shallow, self-serving office-holders, never had sufficient courage and patriotism to address the issues that Trump raised. In fact, the Republicans are deeply implicit in abetting our decline.

Alas, Trump is showing some signs that are dubious and sometimes obviously bad. He has attacked his own people, been incomprehensible on the Ukraine question, and failed to explain clearly why he is doing what he is doing. I admit not in the least understanding this tariff business, but if it helps the American working class, then I am for it.

Those who expected him to quit military bullying, cut spending, and expose ruling class corruption have been disappointed and are feeling betrayed.

Trump’s callous stand on the Gaza genocide is deeply deplorable. But it is a simple fact that no President or Congress can oppose Zionism without paying costs that almost no one is willing to pay. If there is any justice in human affairs, Americans will be paying a heavy price in the future as accessories to crime.

We are, I think, seeing proof that being President of the U.S. has grown into a job that no one can do. The federal monster is so large and powerful that control is impossible unless a President and Congress are united and determined and willing to act against the media and the judiciary. And able and determined people are employed to enter the bureaucracy with fire and sword.

Trump has made a start, at least, on the last mentioned. I think he is trying to do more than is possible and has lost his way, His personality is not an asset in this situation. Almost everyone I know is now or always has been doubtful of Donald Trump. But we must exist in the real world and take what we can get.

"[N]o President or Congress can oppose Zionism without paying costs that almost no one is willing to pay..."
Ask, for example, President Truman (attempted assassination by the Zionists) or Sec. of Defense James Forrestal ("suicided" by the Zionists.)

In college, I was told how tariffs are bad. And it was explained to me how and why. And our ancestors opposed tariffs. But what we have now is every country in the world sucking us dry. This is not the model diagram of tariffs I was shown in college. This is not the free trade of ancestors.

And who in God’s name thought it be wise to think our military enemies like Russia and China should control our rare earth minerals, uranium, antibiotics, steel, and computer chips?!?!?!

Yeah. I’m all for tariffs now. And think our ancestors would understand why. This isn’t free trade. And on our own home shores, this is treason-punishable by death.

Americans better hope one day that other countries don’t do to us what we have done to the world.

The coming Alaska Summit may (or may not) be revealing. Whether on his own or because he was told to, at least Trump is going to do ... something.

I’m not trying to be mean. I’m not saying this post for Dr. Wilson to respond to me. He hasn’t responded to me in a long time. But the South truly doesn’t deserve him. Look at all the foot traffic this site gets. So sad.

Gen. Kromwell. Do you mean the South does not deserve Wilson or does not deserve Trump?

The South doesn’t deserve Dr. Wilson (you). You and a few others have defended the American Jeffersonian tradition. You and a few others have been our Stonewall Jacksons, A.P. Hills, Nathan Bedford Forrests, Wade Hamptons, etc. since 1965.

I’m sorry if you thought I thought less of you. While you and a few others drove the Northern intellectuals into the James River, most Southerns, infected with the Stockholm Syndrome for the American Empire, have only fought for Banksters and Israel. We have just sat by as not only our statues fell, but our children and grandchildren have been captured and lost to the communists.

At what point after 1876 would George Washington have raised his sword? What would have been his Rubicon? At what point after 1876 would our ancestors have taken their guns and bibles and given our enemies the cold steel???

You don’t have to remind to me. I didn’t write this defense of you for a reply by you.

The USA has had tariffs for almost it's entire history. Early in the game the tariffs were principally on British imports to protect the fledgling northeastern industries on the back of the southern agriculturists who competed in an international market It was the only form of taxation for the young nation after the Brits were booted out.
.
Once these taxes were in place the USA really was out of the free market and into a controlled trade policy to the benefit of the nation and detriment of many of its citizens This tariff policy contributed greatly to the secession of the southern states and the War for Southern Independence. So, for over 180 years the US government has protected and manipulated the market to the benefit of the nation, influential folks, corporate interests, and military enthusiasts.

Trump has cleverly used this to impact not only economic interests but to force the warmongers to lay their weapons down. To control international behavior and fight the USA's internal corporatism and mercantilism. Of course this brings howls of resistance from those who lose from this strategy. Long term, after stabilization these tariff wars will subside and an open market can be established. (hopefully)

I appreciate this approach, however remain concerned about the use of tariffs and
the repercussions of the global class which demands central control to their interests.

I’m opposed to tariffs in theory. And in our constitutional history. However, what we have now is not free trade. We are being fleeced. And I’m all for tariffs now in theory if they build up national security items in the South. Including medical supplies and infrastructure. That way when the final collapsed happens, the South (except the Negro issue) will be fine.

From your second para down do you by chance mean "government" rather than "nation"?

Dr. Wilson, let me beseech you here. At what point AFTER 1876 do you think George Washington would have raised his sword? What do you think would have been his Rubicon?

Excuse me if I ignore the above and subsequent remarks to celebrate the following. Note Trump did so in objection to BOTH political parties. He did what is right for America.https://www.militarytimes.com/news/pentagon-congress/2025/08/06/defense-leaders-to-return-confederate-memorial-to-arlington-cemetery/
