Trump in Power—A Southern View

Vladimir Putin has shown great patience and restraint in not reacting to the U.S. government’s criminal attack on his country. He is hoping that a change in government in the U.S. will avoid catastrophe. For this the world and America should be grateful. Unlike any American leader, Putin is a genuine statesman.

If Trump manages to settle the Ukrainian debacle, that will justify his election. Will he be able to clean up the diseased police agencies of the government? Will he be able to reduce the federal bureaucracy that contains, largely unknown to the citizens, many thousands of parasites with six and seven figure salaries, who are either useless or destructive? Will he be able to get rid of the Woke generals and admirals, bureaucrats and not soldiers, who have degraded the U.S. military and replace them with good men?

Perhaps most important, will he be able to eliminate inflation and restore a real working economy to the American people in place of the paper regime that now dominates? The Deplorables are waiting for help.

Although Trump has made vague comments of support for Southern symbols, his is not a Southern administration. I can’t think of any Southerner in an important position with him. They are all Yankees of the common-sense Unwoke kind, not bad people but not like us. It remains to be seen if Making America Great Again will be of any benefit to the South.

Besides Yankees, the American political scene now includes a considerable segment of Indians, something that would have been unthinkable a few years ago. Somalia Harris is half-Indian, JD Vance’s wife is Indian, and an Indian is the nominee to head the FBI. The U.S. has received a fraction of the top 1% of the huge Indian population. Should we worry about the patriotism of those who left their own needy country for a bigger paycheck here?

Trump faces major obstacles to accomplishing any of his announced goals. The primary obstacle is the Republican party. With small majorities in Congress, a few Republicans can join the Democrats to kill any good legislation. In fact, this has been regularly happening for years, especially in regard to immigration.

The Republican party is now Trump’s at the grassroots, but the Washington element remains what it has always been. The ordinary Republican congressman is an empty suit without any ideas or principles. He only wants to hold on to his power and pelf by clinging onto the establishment, and he is deathly afraid of the press, which can damage his cherished respectability and moderation.

One would like to see criminal prosecution for some of the worst high-placed criminals in the Biden regime, but mainstream Republicans are always afraid to do what the Democrats regularly do to them.

One would also like to see a lot of pardons for wrongly persecuted and imprisoned populists like the Charlottesville and Jan. 6 “insurgents.” However, a lot of the persecution has been done at the state and local levels, where the foreign billionaire criminal Soros has considerable control of the personnel and Presidential pardons do not apply.

And the federal judiciary remains a majority Obama-Biden cohort. Any federal judge can almost instantaneously block any constructive action that Trump undertakes. He will have to have the courage of Andrew Jackson to ignore the orders of bad judges and that will be a serious Constitutional issue.

For my money, I am holding out on my humble support of Trump until I see the Reconciliation Monument back in its rightful place.

D\r. Wilson, one of the many covid criminals, and a vaccine maniac, Peter Hotez, just last week claimed that MANY new viruses are going to be unleashed on America and the world, come January 21. Yes, he was bold enough to say it will all begin anew the day after Trump's inauguration! We will see how Trump responds this time. We will also see how many Americans have grown a backbone since the last round of foolishness.

There is no better example than this of what a cartoonish 'mad scientist' looks like:

Dr. Wilson, you often have a way of reading my mind, then putting it into words. This article of yours once again proves it.
Personally, I have my doubts of how much Trump can (or will)accomplish.
Perhaps, like Lee at Chancellorsville, he can fool the Yankees while Elon Musk slips around and rolls up their flank. It didn’t win the war but it dang sure played havoc with those blue-suited invaders.
I don’t think Trump will win the war in 4 years but maybe he’ll get enough offense established to show folks that, as Ronnie Kennedy might say “The South was Right.”
I’ll probably be gone, but I’ll never give up hope nor will I ever stop loving Dixie

Mr. Wilson, Trump is a warmonger who is pushing for war with Iran. He may want to end the urkaine conflict, (although even that is dubious) just so he can focus more on fighting Iran. Trump is wholeheartedly in support of Israel's genocide in Gaza, and has admitted that he will not stop them from doing whatever they want. His administration is stacked with bloodthirsty neocons from top to bottom, they are not good people. The whole supposed "anti woke" sentiment among them, is only done cynically to get more southerners to join the military to fight for israel. Why as a southern nationalist, do you want this yankee empire to continue? Shouldn't you want it to collapse? I really hope you take my words to heart

Brian, for over half a century I have been advocating and hoping for the Yankee Empire to collapse. My remarks about Trump merely try to deal with the world we actually live in. Nobody can be nominated or elected President who is not a Zionist, but it is too bad that Trump is so zealous about it. I think his inclination will be to damp down war fever and curb the CIA's foreign crimes.

The last 6 paragraphs of Clyde Wilson’s above summary for Southerners is essential to understanding the duopoly of our times. One should read it again and again, ponder it, watch for its day to day relevance, significance and reasons for it being true in order to understand the serious political predicament we face.

Thank you, Mr. Clyde Wilson, I've been wanting to see a blog like this one for some time. I see a lot of our Southern people having a lot of faith in Trump. Hats and signs of MAGA are abundant. However, I will be holding my breath for the first 100 days of Trump's second term.

"They are all Yankees of the common-sense Unwoke kind, not bad people but not like us. It remains to be seen if Making America Great Again will be of any benefit to the South."

They are not like us.
