More of the Way We Are Now, Alas

The first destruction of a Confederate memorial was by Republican George W. Bush, who removed a plaque from a state building in Austin years before Democrats got into the business.

The destruction of memorials is intrinsically and historically a barbarian act of hatred and vaunted supremacy.

Republicans are shallow and short-sighted and always evade responsibility. For instance, they deplore the anti-Americanism of a group of foreign women (Somalian, Puerto Rican, etc.) in the U.S. House of Representative. But except for immigration policies that most Republicans voted for, the “anti-American” Representatives would not even be here and elected to Congress. Republicans deplore the Supreme Court Justices of Roe v. Wade although most of them were appointed by Republican Presidents and received confirmation endorsement by Republican Senators.

Republican officials declined to enforce the law and prevent destruction of the Calhoun monument in Charleston. In Congress they made no significant effort to prevent destruction of the reconciliation memorial.

You learn a lot about the Republicans from Neil Kumar’s opponent in a recent primary election in Arkansas. When Neil brought up the question of immigration, his incumbent opponent babbled about the need for imported talent. Obviously he had never even thought about the issue. He was just blabbing Republican boilerplate created by ad men as talking points.

The national Republicans cultivate and support for office ambitious mediocrities without any ideas or principles. Another example: the recently elected Speaker, now asking for money from conservatives, in every recorded spontaneous remark is leftist.

Last but not least, most Republicans bankrolling and applauding the ongoing Israeli murder of innocent women and children. They have no moral or intellectual thought about the matter---they just know that being against “terrorism” and for Israel play good with the media. But being shallow and short-sighted people, they may have outsmarted themselves.

Dr Wilson, what else could we expect from Yale man G.W. Bush, who is also a bosom buddy of the Clintons and Obamas. Unfortunately, Mississippi is infested with George Bush clones at the state capitol. Most of those ‘good, conservative Republicans’ jumped squarely on the bandwagon to abolish our state flag back in 2020 - the George Floyd Summer. There are still quite a few of us out here in the woods who still fly the flag we voted to keep more than 20 years ago. I have absolute contempt for the group I like to refer to as ‘hot tub, country club’ Republicans.

When I think of sham Republicans, I think of GW Bush and the Ben Crenshaw's of the world. (See recently how Crenshaw ducked the question about how concerned we as citizens should be that the US would just commit the same propaganda activity that they accuse China of committing if Tik Tok were banned. His facial expression was more than revealing.)
They do not deserve our support and sell us out on a daily basis and its why the US will only continue to fail.
You referenced Mr. Kumar and his campaign in Arkansas. I have the honor of knowing Mr. Kumar and I consider him to be one of the best advocates for telling the truth about the history of the south. I have great respect for him, he has proven to be fearless and courageous in his stand for the country, his state and for Dixie.

These are not sham Republicans. They are the REAL Republicans. The only good Republicans are those who used to be Southern Democrats.

John Taylor of Caroline or John Randolph of Roanoke? What rail fence will be on top?

Dr. Wilson, I just read your "Southern Nationalism" essay over at the Abbeville Institute. I do agree with most of what you say. I do think two major groups of people are to blame for the problems in America at the moment. Neither of them is Blacks nor Hispanics. One of them is White Yankees. I'll leave the second one for the audience to guess. Both of those groups of people have waged a holy war against Southerners. Blaming Blacks or Hispanics as the main culprits is just plain wrong.

Here is my fear. Because things have been so turned upside down for so long, 'our side' will be too accepting of extremes to right the ship. Leftists are no longer liberal democrats. They are fascists. We can never allow again to happen what has happened in America. We invited people to supper in the name of liberal democracy. In our own home. John Taylor of Caroline would have been proud of us. But then these same people not only kicked us out of the supper but told us to never come back int our home again. The Left-wing fascists killed liberal democracy. Our devotion to a national and state bill of rights was our downfall. I'm not against a bill of rights. I favor them. However, our enemies used them against us. My fear is that IF we survive as a people, our side will never embrace liberal democracy as it did in 1980's, for example, and there will be a crackdown on civil liberties. And why not? Our devotion to Jeffersonian democracy was our Achilles heel.

So, in my middle age, I now embrace more the thinking of John Randolph of Roanoke. You cannot freedom with equality. And maybe power needs to be more concentrated in an oligarchical form. Not ruled by rent seekers. Ruled by men like Wade Hampton. It almost pains me to admit this to you. I would have voted for Tillman against Hampton in his later years. I am more of a populist. More of a Jeffersonian. Farmers and industrious people having most of the power. I deplore more of a return to feudalism. But as a man you might know told me: "Who are you fooling, you live in a 21st century feudal society now in America."

If we survive as a people, I don't see us returning to Jefferson and Taylor's dream. People will be forced to defend their race, because the other side has done so much to eliminate their race. There will not be as any civil liberties because it was the Achilles heel that led to our defeat. So, what then will this future look like, IF we survive as a people???? Thoughts????

I don't think I can ever go back to John Taylor of Caroline. But neither can I embrace people consumed by their own race. And one rail fence has to be on top. So what rail fence will be on top???? How I wish Randolph and Taylor were here to offer us guidance on what they currently could see....

Wade Hampton as Our Example

Regarding your recent essay on White Nationalism, race driven people on our side would be well-advised to follow the example of our Southern heroes such as Washington, Lee, Jackson, and Hampton. They were not color-blind when it came to race. Yes, I know Left-wing fascists will never be happy with Wade Hampton. But for people on our side, they had no hate against Blacks. Their enemy was the Yankees. I love Hampton at the surrender ceremony in Durham, haha. There would have been no gas camps with men like Washington, Lee, Jackson, and Hampton.

With that said, the other side seems maniacal driven to purge America of Whites (one of the two groups leading it is White Yankees, go figure). It seems inevitable that the other side must defend itself and be like-minded to an extent. And when the bullets start flying, to what extent is it possible to restrain our inner natures to wreak havoc on our enemies who will do the most unspeakable acts against us? Is it possible to wage war and rule like our Southern heroes? Rhetoric is so inflammable right now. White Replacement is real. When the collapse happens, how do we prevent a bloodletting? I don't know. And what will come out of the ashes? I don't know.

I would hope the examples of Lee and Hampton after the war would be our examples. And not the Nazi regime. We already have Nazis in America. They are called Leftists. I hope Hampton will be our example. I hope, in the name of survival, we don't succumb to our lowest natures.
