More of the Way We Are Now

The Woke say they are for equality, but what they really want is sameness—equality at the lowest common denominator. And, of course, like Orwell’s pigs, they think some people (themselves) are more equal than others.

It seems likely that the 2020 Presidential election was stolen. We will never know for sure. The matter could have been settled if Trump’s Supreme Court justices had done their duty. Texas and some other States were suing Michigan and several other corrupt States for investigation of their election results. The Constitution requires the Supreme Court to adjudicate issues between the States. They ran for cover instead. Why? Because normie Republicans would rather see Biden illegally elected rather than Trump as President.

It is doubtful that there has been any election in the U.S. since 1861 that was not corrupt in some way. And we should remember this---it was the Republican party which first established massively corrupt elections during the War for Southern Independence and “Reconstruction.” Their successes for Presidents and Congress were largely the result of army-controlled polls, cynical manipulation of clueless African American voters, intimidation, and ballot stuffing.

At least three of the Republican Presidential candidates after The War were blatantly corrupt---Grant, Garfield, and Blaine. Yet Republicans claim that they are the honest party and the Democrats the crooked one. In fact, the Democrat party, except for urban machines, remained cleaner than the Republicans until FDR.

The party of Lincoln or the party of Roosevelt….pick your poison. I will have to admit, however, that I admire the spunk of Ron DeSantis - flying those illegal immigrants to the playground of the hypocritical snobs at Martha’s Vineyard. Where were the Obamas? They could have taken at least half of them into their multi-million dollar mansion! Yankee liberals talk a really good game. They just don’t walk their talk.

The woke riff raff can rage against Lincoln all they want. The madness, mischief and mayhem of today at home and abroad can be traced back to Lincoln's "all men are created equal" in his poisonous speech in 1863 as well bringing illegal federal power to government.

Dr, Wilson, are you familiar with the author Dan Bauer and his the long lost journal of James Johnston Pettigrew?

The real to me is whether there has ever been a non corrupt election in the history of the world?

I'm talking about elections with ballots cast by large numbers of people. I'm sure there have been non corrupt among a dozen or fewer voters by voice or show of hands, but beyond that, has it ever happened?

Mr. Johnson, I know the book. It is by some fellow from Ohio who knows nothing about the South except that he hates it. It is full of misrepresentations and worthless as both history and literature. For just one instance,,a captured slave ship was brought into Charleston in 1859.. (Such trade illegal after 1808.) Bauer has South Carolinians chortling crudely with pleasure at acquiring new slaves. But that is not what happened. The unfortunate people were well cared for and sent home. Meanwhile, the captain of the slave ship, from Rhode Island, escaped to the North and was freed by a Boston judge. In other words, he writes from an imaginary and hostile view of the South---like so many others...

I found reference to Lincoln's admitting in mid-1864 that he hoped another Republican would replace him, as he feared spending the rest of his life imprisoned for violations of the Constitution should a Democrat become president. He had no reason for fear - Assistant Secretary of War Dana later admitted that the full power of the War Department had been mobilized to assure his reelection. Too many people then, as today, owed their government position to a candidate's electoral success.
