Of course, none of this will happen, even if it would make the Republicans wildly popular. Congresspersons collaborate with the federal bureaucracy and party leadership more than they do with their own constituents. And Republican Congressmen tend to be ignorant, egoist empty suits.
The most difficult tasks for a new conservative administration will be correcting errors of the past.
If there is any interest in a true reform platform, we have a lot more suggestions. Alas, the first instinct of Republicans is to avoid all ideas and issues that might label them as not being respectable and moderate. They avoid anything controversial that might deprive them of their power, profit, and perks. The Republicans are now using Trump’s troubles as a money-raising gimmick. They will do as they always do. Use Trump’s troubles to raise money, and then do nothing for him but give it to his enemies in the party. And there are still enough affluent stupid Midwesterners (and I fear some Southerners) who will fall for the con game.

Those are all excellent ideas, Dr. Wilson, but as you are, I am doubtful many, if any, will be implemented anytime soon. Ron Paul pushed for closing foreign military bases many years, but he was ridiculed incessantly. A few billion-dollar war-profiteer corporations have 99% of the Republicans in their hip pocket. Follow the money....war is a racket.

Dr. Wilson, how about abolishing the reforms,(or deforms) of the 1960's including the illegal civil rights law. Also, how about repealing the 14th, 16th ,17th and 19th amendments. Eliminate women from politics.

Joe, I agree with your additional ideas. One only needs to look at the electoral results, showing for women only, in the past few major elections. Dr. Wilson is correct that there are brave and intelligent women, but I'm afraid that they are the exception and not the rule. Abortion on demand, general gullibility, and fear of COVID-19 drove most women to vote the way they did in recent times. The myth that women will vote in the meeker and wiser can be put to bed with the condition of our nation and world under a Joe Biden administration. Heavily authoritarian government, world unrest, and economies on the brink of collapse are not my ideas for good results. As for the 17th amendment, it may have been more devastating than we realize. I believe it has prolonged too many senators' time in office to our detriment.

Amendments 14 and 16 require no repeal because they were never properly ratified in the first place.

Mr. Johnson,, In my experience there are many brave and intelligent women and way too many cowardly and stupid men.

Probably those cowardly and stupid men favor women in politics

If nominated I will not run. If elected I will not serve. Wait a minute, though. It would be an opportunity to dismantle the evil thing.

Given the blatant and highly organized cheeatin in the 2020 Election, when they will now use AI on top of their successful efforts, I am a devoted preper/realist knowing that we will never again have a fair election. Jus the way it turns out.

I fear Ted is right about fair elections as the cheating has become even more perfected and the Republicans would have to double their efforts to beath their opponent. I sense that there has not been a fair presidential election since 1860 (though one-sided); Abe's re-election in 1864 was rigged by the War Department and 1868 saw the advent of 500,000 new voters enabled for Grant to "win."

I'd vote for you, Dr. Wilson! Hey, if you won't run for President of the USA, get South Carolina to secede again and you can then run for President of the independent republic of South Carolina.

Your idea sounds great, but I'm afraid that the President, whether a Rep. or Dem., will roll in the tanks and have the skies filled with apache helicopters.

With the tsunami of public opinion building for Dr. Wilson's presidential candidacy, the important Sikh vote could be attracted by announcing Nimarata Nikki Randhawa his early pick to lead Columbia's public sanitation department. Those Sikh campaign donations and others could be used to buy the various political endorsements necessary to win elections in the US. Sadly, Rev. Sweet Daddy Grace is no longer with us to help win that constituency . . .

We were sold a bill of lies. People said they wanted to eat from our buffet. In our Southern hospitality, we allowed them. Then they shoved us out the door and told us to not come back (and even worse). Of course, I'm talking about this whole 1st Amendment thing here. Therefore, in the future, when our people re-establish civilized government, the 1st Amendment must be restricted to ever allow people to show up to our 'restaurant' and kick us out. Don't cringe at it. Look at what the Left is doing now. Calling us 'fascists' while they are the ones acting like fascists. Never again. The buffet of free exchange of ideas is an American lie. Just like the truce between the North and the South. They mistook us for Gomer Pyle, not General Forrest. And maybe we deserve that name-a nation of Gomer Pyles, not of Lee or Forrest.
